Steam near boiler piping

I am going to replacing a steam boiler. It has two mains. One is pitched away from the boiler and has a dry return. The other main is pitched back to the boiler.. When you connect the main that is piped back to the boiler could I drop down into it and run a return out of the run of the tee or would I have to run a new main and pitch it the other way?

Perfect
Nice description, too.
Drop into the tee from the top, or 45° from straight up. Run the return past the tee 6-12 inches and drop into the boiler return connection on the system side of the Hartford loop tee.
