No Main Vent

My one-pipe steam system has 3 mains and no main vents. There is some serious hissing going on in the last radiator of the longest main. Is it difficult to install a main vent? I am pretty handy can I do it myself?

It would involve
drilling and tapping a hole of the right size and installing the proper vent on each main. I wouldn't hesitate to have a pro do this- the money will be well spent, and you'll get it back in lower fuel consumption.
