using copper pipe for steam

I am installling some additional steam baseboard, 1 -4ft and 1- 8ft along with about a 100' run. I would like to just fit the steel baseboard with npt x female adapters and run copper pipe. Easier to work with , no threader needed, etc.

Is there any reason why this will not work assuming i follow all the guidlines for steam, pitch , drip etc ?

Is there any difference between the fin tube used for hot water and for steam?

the soldered copper....

joints won't hold up under all the heat from expantion and contraction,leaks. Also there are some studies that electochemically there are some problems....kpc

Don't do it, Al

the joints in a copper steam pipe will not last. Use black steel.

Copper is fine for return lines that don't carry any steam.

Steel fin-tube is fine for water or steam, assuming it is installed properly. Copper fin-tube should be used for water only.
