HEllo I have inherited a building where i do the chiller work and heating. I have two boilers weil mclain lgb6 piped pararell .to a common header .also included a boiler feed tank with two pumps each boiler having their own controllers . Ive been having the one boiler operating and the other one on standby .the one on stanby was filling up with water.could ththis boiler be acting as a condenser to the boiler that is operating . Iwas going ta add a ft trap on the equalize just above the water line and have it dump back to the reciever .Four inch welded pipe to header /any suggestions

If you've got two steam boiler tied together in a common header, you do need overflow traps on each boiler, and the equalizer is a good place to put them. Mount them just above the normal water line...Good call!!
