bypass/injection choices

On a boiler with low return water temps what do you all prefer, thermostatic by-pass or injection? Why?

    I like control to be as simple as possible. extra bells and whistles usually cause trouble when you least need it. A dishwasher is my point. Why have the most expensive when you just want clean dishes. Most folks do the same dishes over and over. Extra gadgets just cost money to repair. Therefore if you can pipe it to prevent low return temp I'd do that. If there is reason for injection I'd do that, If a T/S valve has to be used, buy the best you can find and, install a bypass around it for when it quits and does not work on a very cold night! Remenber the average homeowner wants it "Just to work forever"

    I'm guessing you mean VS injection mixing? If so this is a favorite method of mine. With injection mixing you generally get not only accurate mix control, boiler return protection, but also outdoor reset.

    With 3 way thermostatice on low temperature radiant really you need one for boiler return protection, and a second for mix down to radiant. I use both methods, generally the size of the load helps steer my decision. Both work fine.
