Rusty Boiler

Any of you folks ever acid wash the fire side of gas boilers to get them clean?
This one spent about six seasons operating in full condensing mode. I fixed the problem, cleaned it out the best I could with brushes and such and it has been running properly for two years.
I'm thinking of washing it down with phosphoric acid and was wondering if that would be a bad idea.

Boy, I wouldn't touch that idea with a 20 foot pole.
That boiler looks just fine. Just because the cast is a little rusty doesn't mean it's bought the farm. I don't know what you had when you started, but A+++ for what it looks like now.0
