Oil leak HELP!
If I was you , I would dig up and expose top of tank. Look for a return line , most oil leaks on ust's are from this.
If you do find this remove and replace it, while it's open I would change all vent, fill, return, supply lines.Swing joints on fill and vent piping. On the supply and return use a covered line that is UL approved for earth contact. If you don't find any oil here time to call in a vacuum truck and replace tank. Good luck , you might need it. P.S. to find where to dig we use a probe to find how tank is laying a 6000 gal tank could be from 16' to 29' long. Hope this helps John@Reliable0 -
Haz Mat Liability
If there is a leak , does your state consider it a hazmat spill, and do you have the training and certification to deal with it? The state agencies are interested in generating revenue, and fines are a great source. With a 6000 gal tank you might be better off getting a tank service company involved.0
