Ok ilooked at a house witha 70s electric cieling they want A/C and possably a hydro conversion. Soooooo we've got a cieling full of little itty bitty wires. I figure I can find them with a current meter and infared gun so we can sneek Unico betweeen them. But What about the return? There is no getting around that. Can you cut out a bunch of them and reroute it ?? are there kits to repair cut sections ?? HELP!

Why
not find a closet and chase the return duct inside the
closet on the side wall. There should be no ceiling heat above the closet. Now ..trying to get the lady of the house to give up the closet, will be the challenge.0 -
Radiant electric
Dump the radiant ceiling, most likey did not work that well and they most likely noticed how hot it was at head level. Go with the Unico heat coil to go along with the AC and you will add a much better heating system for very little cost (on the distribution side anyway) adding the boiler and DHW will be a plus, you can probably talk them into some panel rads etc. while your at it. Do not be afraid to spend their money!0
