If I select DHW valve does the control need to receive 24v inorder to complete the circuit, the system is primary, secondary I need the control to power the system circ. for any call (heat, DHW) sec. loop will only recirc itself without system circ powered aswell. I'm gonna call monday, but it's driving me nuts. thx

The demand signal...
requires 24 volt input. The output is dry contact. If you're using a zone valve, you must supply the R leg thruput for the output side of the controller.
Boy, aint that edit feature somethin'...In your case, if you're using a Taco priority zone pump, the tekmars' output would be connected to terminals 1&2 on the Taco ZF pump.
