We've done a couple jobs like that with 3/8" tubing, without any problems. It's allot easier to pull and as long as the load is small it should do the job.Just watch your pump size.

Manifold piping
to radiators. We've got a house coming up soon in San Francisco; the basement is radiant in a colored slab, the first floor is radiant staple-up and the upper two floors are radiators. I want to install manifolds on the top two floors and then pipe the radiators off the manifold.
We normally would use 1/2" PEX, but 3/8" would be a lot easier. As long as the radiator is under 7,000 BTU's, I don't see a problem. Has anyone done this? Pros and cons?
Best wishes,
Alan

If you're woried about low flow...
just design at a higher delta tee. "Thou shalt design at 20F delta tee" is not the eleventh coommandment.
