Could anyone see a problem w/pulling the make-up air from inside the building for a dunkirk quantum 90 (100k btu's). Had a real tough time just going threw the foundation for the exaust. Basement is old & large (plenty of air).

combustion air
I am not familiar with the Dunkirk you are installing, but I ran into a problem with a direct vent Burnham LE boiler by not bringing in out side air. When I went back and installed it properly according to the manufactorers guidelines every thing checked out. Dont forget the burner has a pre and post purge cycle which needs to be accounted for in your combustion air calcs.0 -
Q90 combustion air
As difficult as it may be to punch through the outside wall, it is in fact required to draw combustion air in from the outdoors to insure a balanced flue system and proper operation of the boiler.
