I had a severe case of fumble fingers today and I lost the machine screw for the wiring box for both new circulator cover and the old one.

Would any of you know what size the machine screw is so I can go to my local hardware store and buy several of them ? A magnetic tip Philips screwdriver is on the list too.

I have used 1/4" Drive #10 sheet metal screws in a pinch. But you should dull the sharp point so it doesn't pierce any wire insulation. but I believe it is a #6-32 the same as a outlet or switch cover on your wall.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

That is what junk drawers in your workshop are for, different sizes of screws!

It is probably either a 6-32 or 8-32. Hardware store. Don't you have a junk drawer with some old stuff.
