Gasket for old Hoffman F&T??
Hi all, I cleaned out tons of gunk from this Hoffman F&T. But now am having a hard time finding the correct gasket to seal it back up. Supply house seemed to have the right one but was not:(. Does anyone know where I might find a gasket for this guy? Do i have any other options? For the life of me I can't seem to find a Model# anywhere on it.

If a suitable gasket can not be found for a reasonable price, I would make my own. Auto parts stores sell gasket paper and there is also silicone rubber sheet material in various thicknesses from various sources like eBay & McMaster-Carr.
I use the silicone rubber sheet material on my LWCO, so far comes apart easily, no scraping the old gasket, reusable.

fluoroelastemer is probably better for water and steam than silicone

Maybe, however it seems much more expensive, maybe too hard depending on the quality of the mating surface.
The silicone rubber sheet material I have came from eBay, I have 1/32", 1/16", 1/8", so far with everything I used it on I've been happy. Makes me less resistant to disassembly for inspection, I don't like scraping and replacing paper gaskets, although I believe some folks use Never Seize with their paper gaskets so they don't stick to the metal.
BTW I have 3/16" silicone tubing right off the top of my boiler to connect the gauges. Never had a problem with it either. But keep in mind my boiler pressure never goes over 2 inches of water column.
