Fasco aqua vent max vibration feeling?
Hi all,
I hope this is the right place. Yesterday, I had a new Bradford combicore installed with new mixing valve (Fasco aqua vent) something in this installation made me feel humming / vibrating feeling. When I traced it, I could see no obvious rattling or vibration except the fasco aqua vent. Visually, I can't tell it's vibrating. But when I touch it, I can feel vibrations and sound is same as I hear in my living area (1 level above where boiler is)
I am not sure if this brand new fasco unit is faulty, or normal vibration is expected or what? Except it's annoying to my ears and I need to know if these units are supposed to feel steady to the touch and just loud or some normal vibration due to motor movement is expected? Also, since this vibration is affecting the exhaust pipe, not sure why my house feels the shock.
Any help is appreciated as its a brand new install

I would call the installer back and ask those questions and also find out if they did a combustion test

I did call them back, and they told me vibrating is normal, but I don't know if they did a combustion test. I am not convinced it should vibrate with intensity even if it is not too audible. My ears can tell resonance, like my ears are ringing. I just don't know how these units behave, so don't want to be told to live with it

Hi Hot rod
It is quiet when the system is not running. It only vibrates when the Bradford combcor is running i.e. you can hear it heating water, it is not noisy in itself, its that vibration of the chassis (only felt by hand) that's somehow carried over into pipes into my home :(0 -
it sounds like the fan wheel inside could be out of balance?

Maybe the vent pipe has no room to move and the noise is traveling from the PVC to the structure?

I keep suspecting something with that fasco vent, but I don't know if their normal operation the chasis is supposed to vibrate or not? I guess that's my starting point. As its brand new install and heater guy mentioned he can try to find ways to dampen noise, but idk if the thing itself is faulty and we should just replace it for peace of mind

Not sure what u mean, is that in picture I attached? Literally the voice in structure is as if someone parked their car outside house and left it on (i.e. u can hear the car engine, its not loud and its not inaudible) its just the resonance high enough to annoy
