Amazing how some ideas come about. I wouldn't even think of doing that, but I guess it will work if the expansion and contraction doesn't break something

That radiator will get some steam but it will have a pocket of air at the bottom, perhaps that air may find its way to the other radiator and vent there. I don't believe that vent will break off after it is covered with the bench that his wife will be sitting on.
