I spoke with one of the Comfort Sales team at AHR, he indicated they still have 50 boilers in stock and an assortment of spare parts. They have a wholesale division at the Edwardsville, Il location.

Talking the instinct line which is what most wholesalers were stocking, we have quite a few more than that in stock. I don't think parts will be uncommon for the instinct line. I have also seen 3 other wholesalers post their entire inventory online with seemingly no interest. Fact is we barely sold any parts for the instinct boilers…. They were actually really good units. if you have one installed consider buying a new in box control board for a good price. if you buy a board that was taken off a factory boiler make sure the model number is the same as they are factory flashed. most of the other parts are fairly universal through the instinct line.

TT ran a "preseason" special right before they closed shop so wholesalers are all stuck holding around double the inventory they normally would.

They may have been hoping that would generate enough revenue that they could make things work, it may not have been the intent to leave distributors holding the bag.

I've spent way too much time thinking about why and how. Personally i think the intent doesn't really matter at this point, the result is that the wholesalers have basically funded triangle tubes legal obligation of their current product recalls while they jumped ship and the parent company sold the entire thing to Paloma Rheem. So the employees lost their jobs, the end users lost their warranty, the wholesalers lost a mountain of cash, and Groupe Atlantic got a little payday (maximized considering they could ALSO be out all the money they got from wholesalers) and a new majority stakeholder with a new brand name that will likely allow them to do business in the US again.
