I just want to thank you for your story, The Boiler Room Detective - The Loneliest Place in PHC News, December 2025.
It made me feel like I was there again like I had been a thousand times before. I could feel your calm confidence as you went through the troubleshooting steps. You didn’t just use your experience. You used your eyes, your ears, your hand on the gas valve. You had an exit strategy, all while politely blocking out the noise from the person looking over your shoulder.
No applause when the boiler is up and running, but the feeling of a job well done.
It was nice to be there again if only for a few minutes. I guess it’s easy to feel nostalgic about an after hours call when you haven’t had to do it for 8 years running.
