Richardson System
Does anyone know how to figure pressure settings on a Richardson system?

as low as possible. size the boiler so it doesn't build pressure and set it up with a vaporstat set at about 6oz/in^2 cutout

I have it hitting all rads with only 1 oz, but since it can run on a vacuum, i have differential at 3 Oz (subtractive). Can't find any info on how it would have been set up at design.

it would have been coal originally so it would have probably used a "return trap" to equalize the mains and returns and possibly had a weight and chain pressure control that could try to damp the fire to control the pressure. making the boiler a little smaller than the connected edr is by far the best way to control it, make the boiler not be able to make more steam than the system can consume.
