does that top stamped piece pull up and off or unscrew? don't force it but see if it comes off

it is . Tried several times to loosen but can’t get it to budge. Would a impact driver and 3/4 socket work to remove it. Any suggestions where I can purchase a new valve.

I think tunstall makes a vapor valve. it can also be replaced with a regular valve and an orifice plate. heating it may help it come apart if you can do it without burning the plate

@magewick what do you disagree with? someone, i think it is tunstall makes a metering valve. you can also do the same thing by metering the steam with an orifice plate in the union.

if you take the valve off and work on it on a bench with a vise maybe with soft jaws you have more options to coax it to come apart in one piece but that is more of an off season project.

The MEPCO SWRF valve is another option.
