Hello, I have a steam Rococo that I'm sending in for servicing and powder coating.

This one was formerly on a single-pipe steam, and I'm getting ready to convert it to go on a two-pipe system.

as a result I need to plug the hole where the old bleeder valve was at.

Can anyone advise as to the size of the plug, the proper/trade name of it, and a place where I source one? First time shopping for one.

    It is a 1/8" NPS pipe plug.

    Most of the ones commonly available will have a square or hex head. Don't know if you will like the looks of those sticking out. It wouldn't bother me.

    Flush plugs are what your looking for. They used to make them with a slot for a screwdriver.

    The other is flush and has a socket head that you can use an Allen key. One place that would have them is an oil burner supply house. They were used as a "bypass plug" in the older Suntec fuel oil pumps. Make sure you specify 1/8" because the newer oil pumps use a 1/16 ips oil pump.

    1/8" npt plug. any hardware store.

    I'd take out the plugs and spuds you will need to remove to set it up as 2 pipe steam and plug those holes before you powder coat it.
