Hello all,

Please tell me if I connected my nest power connector correctly to my new gas boiler. I only have two wire and no C wire. So I needed the nest power cable to charge my nest thermostat .

I connected the two black wires the relays the boiler to the R and W on the two white nest cables.

What is shown in the picture looks incomplete. The R, C and W have to be correct to the boiler wiring. When it is hooked up correctly it should work.

Sometimes the terminals are labeled on the insulating plate.

the terminals on the boiler might be labeled r g and c depending on what part the manufacturer used

Here are some pictures of my nest power connector. My nest thermostat is making a buzzing sound when heating. I am getting heat and it's working but not sure why the buzzing. And not even sure if it's still connected properly but somehow getting heat.

Well I don't know why it is buzzing. What is your boiler make and model ? If it is what I suspect, you probably need a relay for proper boiler and NEST operation.

Buzzing is not good. you want to fix that.

…on the other hand, if the thermostat is only humming, it is probably because it forgot the words. If you can find the right sheet music with lyrics and place it in view of the thermostat the humming may stop.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

Try switching R and W•Y on the boiler side.
