What type of vent for one pipe baseboard radiator?

In my bathroom there is a short one pipe baseboard radiator with what appears to be a hygroscopic coin vent. There is not enough room to install a traditional vent. Is this the proper way to vent this radiator?

depends on what type of boiler you have. When you say "one pipe" are you referring to steam? If yes, then a hydroscopic coin air vent is not the best however the specifications do allow for venting air from a steam radiator. I'm not a fan of that vent for steam.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

they are marketed as for steam but they are not. you need to figure out how to connect a radiator vent to it, probably need to shift the vent connection around with some fittings and nipples, might need to extend it out of the baseboard cover, can use a straight or angle vent, whichever fits best.

if it is a hot water system, hydroscopic vents are a good option.

This one has 3 operating conditions, manual, automatic, or off.

If they are used a lot as automatic vents, the cellulose upper cartridge should be replaced every. 2-3 years

This model has a ball check built in, so the upper part can be removed, replaced without relieving pressure in the system.Hydroscopic vents tend to work well with dirty rusty systems . But particles can cause problems.
