I’ve ground the stripped spud off so I’ve gotten myself into it now. “Easy” out isn’t biting on the iron. Guess I’ll try the pie slice and knock method.

That's about all you can do. CI bushing is tough to pick out. The little pieces chip off but it won't peal like steel

Maybe it was unavoidable, I would not have cut it off so close to the radiator. Don't cut into the threads, multiple cuts to weaken it significantly.

Normally I wouldn’t cut so close. Cold chisel blows took a toll on the edges. Looking back I should have left the plugs, pressure tested, and worked around them. The rad did steam and I’m rehabbing for hydronic, after it sitting for at least 10 yrs.

@wcs5050 A little patience and you will get it out. The smaller the pipe size the harder it is

Get a small Diablo carbide sawzall blade and take an angle grinder reduce the profile of the blade so you still have teeth, but will fit in the hole. I have a M12 and M18 milwaukee one handed sawzall that I use for stuff like this. Just go slow and take your time. After it's pied out you can take small cape chisels and get it out. It's always the small ones that take the time.

Success!! Indeed patience required. It took many sessions. Thx for the support everyone. Used new large tooth hacksaw blade by hand to make 3 slots progressively and carefully. Does not extract the way a steel nipple does.
Small ball peen and small punch set got it done… In the past I wrecked an antique Trane hydro/steam propellor shop heater by being too aggressive with the cuts and didn’t want that to happen.

what do you need us for…

you could probably take a die grinder and grind most of it away too.

even if you did cut too deep unless it was way too deep could probably put it together with permatex and make it work.
