Tekmar 519- Need abit of Advice!

Options

In a recent post I mentioned having a Honeywell thermostat that was getting fussy. So I setup the Tekmar with the floor sensor and it works great! Except that I cannot seem to figure out how to increase the floor temp setting without going through the entire setup menu.

I even had a chat with Tekmar yesterday and he said "just use the Up or down arrow " . Tried it but the only thing it changed was room temp not floor temp.

Hoping they is a simple answer.

Any advice would be great!

Thanks

The small Quick Guide sheet that comes with the stat shows how you need to access the menus to change the floor setting. There are user settings, and installer settings

You need to get into the installer settings to make some settings, as shown below press both up and down arrows for 5 seconds to enter installer settings.

You need to go into this menu to tell the stat that a floor sensor in being used. Then the floor setting can be adjusted in the user setting mode.

But I think you still need to hold both arrow buttons for 3 seconds to get into that set floor for adjustment. Just try the various options, you can't really harm the stat.

The floor limit temperature is a good setting to use also, especially with tile.

Thanks Bob. Yeah, even though the Tekmar tech said that double button hold down wasn't required I think he is incorrect.

I think an earlier version you could have the stat in floor sensor only mode, so then the screen read the floor temperature, not air.

But I can see how a HO may be confused by that.
