Sizing steam drips piping
I thought I'd seen this somewhere but can't find it for the life of me. How do you size piping for steam drips into a wet return? All I have found is go no smaller than 3/4 inch.

there is probably a table based on edr somewhere but unless you have a mansion or office building with 1 pipe steam you aren't going to exceed the capacity of 3/4"

3/4" will carry a bit of condensate. But the best way is to calculate the EDR the drip will carry by by getting the EDR of your radiators connected to the drip

Thanks guys. Since these are in a two pipe system much of the condensate load likely goes through condensate returns. Sounds like 3/4 inch should be plenty.
