Honeywell outdoor temperature reading

Options

I had a Honeywell VisionPro 8000 Wi-Fi thermostat installed to control a heat pump with propane backup. I am depending on the internet supplied outdoor temperature on the thermostat to control the heat pump lockout when the temperature is below 35 degrees. The temperature can be off as much as 13 degrees from my local outdoor temperature. Where is this internet outdoor temperature coming from and can it be changed? I supplied the correct zip code when set up the Total Connect Comfort account. My only option may be to run a wired outdoor temperature sensor.

I'd do the outdoor sensor. I have an airport about 3 miles from my house and even the temp there and at my house is frequently significantly colder because I am in an urban area with a lot of mass and concrete and the airport is mostly out in the middle of a field.
