Mains venting theory

Hello all. I'm about to begin adding mains vents to a sprawling former coal burner that never had any.
One line is 271ft where the first 148ft are 2" and it steps down to 1" by the end.
So about 55% of the length and 70% of the volume is 2" pipe.
Would there be any advantage to putting some vents at the end of the 2" and some at the end of the line? I only ask because there's tapping at the end of the 2" section that I can make use of.
Thoughts?

I would put them all at the end, so the end heats more quickly. This is the standard placement.
That tapping was probably feeding a radiator that someone removed.
