I need temp and pressure gauge
Is there well used for a temp and pressure gauge? I cant see a well being use because how would the gauge read water pressure? The reason I ask is because the gauge I ordered states for a 1 and 9/16 well.

The "well" is supposed to say "probe". This just gets screwed into a tee and that's the end of it. With that said, you might want to upgrade to a Resideo tridicator like the TD-090. I tried these Bluefin ones out years ago and had a 100% failure rate within a year

A pressure gauge cannot go into a dry well, the sensing probe needs to be into the water to read pressure.
However there are some wells where the end pushes open as you screw the gauge into it. But the well and gauge need to be a matched set.

I have a MARSH Instruments Tridicator and it has performed flawlessly with my coal stoker boiler.
If you visit the Marsh Instruments home page you will be able to order the correct tridicator for your boilers tapping size. Please be aware that the tridicator MUST be installed with no teflon tape or thread paste as it will prevent the gauge from reading the system pressure correctly.
