Boiler Vent Damper?

Does the orientation of the motormake a difference? Or can it be rotated to where it is out of the way of piping?

    My Honeywell said to put to the side if on a lateral, otherwise (vertical pipe) no difference. Just keeping heat off the control board id imagine.
