Notification bell not clearing

I am routinely getting notifications of new comments on posts that do not have new comments since I last viewed the post. basically they just don't clear off the bell.

Anyone else getting this?

    sometimes mentions don't clear first time, I usually don't follow a whole post though. i wonder if notifications aren't clearing when a "new" comment has been edited multiple times. I know there are quite a few times I might have edited a comment several times because I'm bad at proofreading before I click post lol
