Help with screw nut
Hi...so I'm trying to get this screw on nut off to get to the electrodes and oil nozzle but my dad must have wrenched it on so tight it's like super glue. I sprayed PB blaster on it last night and it does not move a mm. Any tool other than the pliers im using to get this free? Thanks

I’d use channel lock pliers. Big box will sell them.

The nut is super tight because the screw holding the Z dimension plate snapped. Once the assembly comes out, the Z must be reset. And I'm assuming you don't have the tool to do that… and don't know what a Z dimension is.
Where are you located? Even with the limited frame of the picture, the oil and soot shows that the boiler needs a qualified oil tech.

Plus the end of the flare on the nozzle assembly looks chewed up.

You got bigger problems than that nut

FYI. That escutcheon nut that looks like someone used pliers to tighten more than once is supposed to be finger tight. The knurled surface that has been rubbed off by the pliers would have been a clue as to how tight you are supposed to make that connection. There are no hex or square edges for a wrench, which means that you don't tighten it too much.
All that wet black soot/grease means that the last person that did service on that burner has no clue as to what is needed to make that burner operate efficiently.
The condition of that burner tells me that the person working on that equipment does not understand that they are actually playing with a fire inside that home. A real fire! The kind of fire that can make the Fire Department make an unscheduled visit to your home. But I'm sure the price was right for that service. You will get what you pay for that way.
If you can't afford to do it right, then how can you afford to have it done again when it fails?

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?
