OT Landscape Drain Boxes

We will having 4 leaders emptying into NDS drain boxes then piped into cultec. I like those since they allow debris to be separated out from the gutters—as long as you clean them out when they need it, and thereby keep the cultec from filling up with debris and losing its drainage effectiveness. A contractor has suggested that for the driveway drain we use a channel drain like this to also empty into the cultec. Looks very nice, but has no cleanout for debris.

Can you just remove the top to clean them?

You can, but the unit does not prevent debris from being swept along with the water; unlike a drain box, where the water goes into the system and any heavier items drop to the bottom to be cleaned out periodically.
