BMI capacitors?

Has anyone heard of BMI, or used them?

They say they're made in the USA. I'm curious how they compare to others.

I didn't seen any dual run caps, but that's not a deal breaker if they last longer IMO.

I've been using Titan HD which also say they're made here.

    I can't say that I have. It does seem like the USA made capacitors definitely last longer. We have been using Titan HD as well and they have been holding up nicely. The Amrad caps are great quality as well.

    I would always prefer the higher voltage rating …USA made is always a plus .. The little higher price I feel, is less of a concern with service and the better quality does give you better odds of not receiving a call back ..

    As long as it physically fits, absolutely the higher voltage rating.

    My LG television started taking longer and longer to turn on after about 6 years. Replaced the capacitors with better quality ones and it’s been running fine for 12 years.
    Good components make a difference.

    For electronics I always liked Panasonic FM caps, but there's actually many brands of really good caps out there.

    But for AC run caps, it seems like we have a far far smaller selection to choose from.

    Probably someone privately running one of the old ge or cde or gould plants. I believe the Titan HD caps are made in mexico and that has been the best I can find on most things.

    Used to have GE and Sprague caps made in North Adams & Pittsfield, MA. They lasted as long as the unit they were in. Good old PCBs. That's why GE became a superfund site.

    The Titan HD caps say right on the label "MADE IN USA".

    I would think it would be kind of a big issue if they were actually made in Mexico, no?

    Best picture I have of two of mine…. They definitely say Made In USA.
