Circulator Control and two zone Radiant
My system
Two Zones.
Tank water heater
2 Taco circulator pumps that are wired to a plug and plugged into to outlet.
Originally 2 -24 volt transormers( one for each circulator)
Goal is to change to two smart thermostats. How would you do that?

Does anyone have an example of how it would be wired when I have no boiler and the circulators already have power?
I am assuming I would use diagram one but no wiring to the isolated end switch.

Follow the wiring instructions for the panel. The panel powers the circulator. You can get power from wherever the circulators are currently getting power from. I'm not crazy about seeing the panel getting rigged to an outlet, but it would work. This might be something that should be done by a professional, if anything goes wrong I don't think your homeowners insurance company will cover any accidents caused by a homeowner doing their own high voltage wiring.

The SR502 is the right solution but it needs to be hard wired, not plug in.
If you are looking for a plug in option you can look at:
You would use a 24V AC wall wart to power the thermostat (connect to R and C terminal on it). From the thermostat you run two wires from the W and C terminal to the green terminal block on the power bar. The circ plugs into the the switched outlet on the power bar.

I can see what everyone is saying. I believe now that the only way the Taco control works for me is I remove the power plugs from the circulators and direct wire them.
My two circulators have been wired with plugs that go directly into outlets that I originally wired in. They were purchased that way when I built and installed the system.
Both circulators also have two wires that come out and are wired 2 the 24 vac transformers.

Can you give us the model number of the pumps? Maybe even take a picture of the pump wiring box with the cover off and post it here.

I don't see a problem with cutting the plugs off the wires from the circulators and wiring the three conductors to the circulator neutral, L1 and ground terminals on the panel.
Perhaps the cords with the plugs could be removed and replaced with MC cable?
