Lowered my pressure limit. For now.

A few years back when I added 3 more Trvs I raised my pressure limit to 8" or 10" I can't remember which. I wanted to make sure if all 5 Trvs were closed id still get plenty of heat to other rooms.

Recently there's been a few times where I got up in the middle of the night and heard a few vents making noise and I don't like it so I made a few adjustments.

I moved one of my redlink sensors out of my bedroom because I keep the bedroom cool and don't really care if it's "too cold" so I don't really want it weighing in on the decision to run the boiler. I'm 99% sure all 5 Trvs were closed or almost closed every time this happened so those rooms were happy.

After that I lowered the pressure that tells the Ecosteam to shut the boiler off for 10 minutes to let radiators cool some. 8-10" definitely makes noise and I see no reason for it so I lowered it to 4".

I had the mains and return shutoff during this video so I could calibrate the switch. Seems to be close enough to 4".

Now I get to wait a few days or weeks and see how it goes.

Single pipe 392sqft system with an EG-40 rated for 325sqft and it's silent and balanced at all times.

I think you are within the margin of error

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

I should mention you need sound with the video. You can hear the burner shutoff before it keeps climbing.
