AFG Parts Interchangeability

Im looking to amass some spare parts for my EK1 as it is getting on in years and if it needs a part I have readily on hand, it's a trip to the store or emergency call $$$$ I don't have to make.

I found a 3 year old AFG for sale locally from someone who did an NG conversion. Looks as good as a 3yo burner should.

Eyeballing the photos, it is definitely a different air tube than the one in my EK with different suggested nozzle on the data plaque.

Would all other parts be interchangable? Pump, blower, igniter, primary, CAD, etc?

Based on the AFG Burner Manual, it seems like they are.

Definitely cheaper than the sum of its parts.

Motor, fan, coupling, primary, eye and lead, and the Igniter can be salvaged.

Replacing the fuel pump is not DIY, as pressure needs to be set, and that automatically calls for a combustion test. And a pressure setterer.

Also, if the primary is the Genisys, make sure it's a B. That's 7505B. If its an A on the end, no good with your application.

All good advice hvacnut. The air tube and drawer assembly are made for the ek-1 and those parts would need to be sourced from energy kinetics directly. Oil pump replacements require setting pump pressures, and any burner adjustments require combustion testing after.

For the record, the Genisys 7505 primaries can be reprogrammed, but you need the Contractor Tool to do it. I like this setup since it keeps unqualified folks from messing with them.

I ran out of the little stickers to change it on the tag, but yeah, stock the A and reprogram when needed.
