Radiant Manifold in 2x4 Wall?
Can a radiant manifold be fit into a 2x4 wall? Google's AI says it can be done with a low profile manifold, but didn't point to a suitable manifold or examples of this type of installation - possibly because I wasn't using the correct search terms on Google or here.
I have a logical central location where a manifold to feed five or six loops could be placed within the wall, but the wall is 2x4 construction. The wall is only 7 feet wide and I could fur it out to 2X6, but replacing or modifying a door frame for 2X6 probably makes that more trouble than it is worth. Loops are 1/2" PEX and leaders and loops will come from a (very low) crawl space. It's not a load bearing wall.

building a door frame out is pretty simple; use a biscuit joiner to get/keep sections aligned during glue up. Hit with sander then paint and you ready for trim out.

PC7060 - I've modified several door frames but it takes time. This door would require extending on the hinge side so I would have move the hinges or remove the frame and move it.

There are a bunch of these metal cabinets out in the distribution still. Check the dimension they are a metric size, but I think the cabinet still fits a 2X4, which may be under 3-1/2" these days!
'Also a look at how the manifold keeps the tubes neat and aligned.

Hot rod - Thanks for the image showing the indentations. I wasn't sure what you meant in the earlier note and missed them when I looked at the web page. That's a nice design.
Are the threads on the end of the manifold 1" BSPP? Does Caleffi offer a 90 degree angle piece similar to the one Rehau offers?
