Hydrotherm Hydropulse
Read a post about this type of boiler. Have one in my home manufactured in 1977 and still running.
Was wondering if the Boiler Guy is in the GTA or any other specialized boiler guy is willing to come out and service the oldie.

I remember when they came out in the later 1970s. There was some regular maintenance needed on them that was out of the ordinary. Replacing a spark plug and some sort of flapper valve that causes that thing to pulse. Does anyone still make those parts? I believe that you might be looking for a new boiler soon, if that one is still operational. Sooner if it is not operational.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

I guess they were the only ones besides Lennox to use that technology.
I guess they gave up on it.

parts may be hard to come by. I remember a big silicone gasket involved in a teardown to service them.

worked on many of them. Interesting little ducks. Change flapper valves every couple years. Clean and or replace spark plug if you can get out. Clean condensate drain. Clean burner diffuser disc. Simplest condensing boiler ever made. They were a unicorn although. Probably time to consider update I hate to say.
Good luckTim
