Edr calculations for unusual radiator
looking for help calculating edr on these wall panels. Each individual panel measures 13x16 and appears to be made up of 9 sections each. Dans “edr” is shipping to my house on Sunday but I would like to quote the boiler replacement today. Thank you!

They're in Dan's EDR book.

Andy is looking for a read ahead on the estimated EDR per assembly to get a size for boiler quote presumedly today.

that’s correct pc. If anyone has any info they would share. I was able to quote the work in budget form for my client today. A few sizes up or down on boiler size won’t really change my number too significantly. I was hoping for a heads up is all. And a good old fashioned mind share on the topic

even a rule of thumb with those panels. I did what I could with some of dunkirks literature and based it off of “sectional wall type” a 1 sq ft/section and came up with a number that I suppose makes sense. Please feel free to nerd out here with me

I don’t believe that they are horizontally sectional. I believe that is one large wall panel section of which there are 12 on that particular wall assembly.

After you make that expensive repair and you still have the same problem, What will you check next?

you may well be correct Ed. Do you have any literature on the topic to reference?
Also, big props to you sir. I’ve read a lot of your stuff and have been thoroughly impressed

@AndythePlumber, that radiator was made by the American Radiator Company and was the Colonial pattern. Beautiful find! You can see it on page 8 of their booklet Radiation and Decoration from 1905 in the link below.
And here it is in American Radiator Company's The Ideal Fitter (circa 1906):
You can see the entire excerpt on the Colonial radiators here. These radiators could be configured in different arrangements.
The Ideal Fitter did not include an EDR for this radiator, but the charts in this booklet about American Radiator Co's Peerless (formerly Rococo) Wall Radiators may help.
Thanks for supporting our community and purchasing a copy of EDR!

@AndythePlumber , the scan that @HeatingHelp.com posted has the answer. Each ~16x13 section is 5 square feet,so 9 such sections is 45 square feet.
