Venting Help Needed - Modine HDS45

I am hanging hds45 in my garage. Bought supply house suggested z vent cat 3 SS single wall vent kit for flue gas

Questions:

  1. Modine manual states thimble 4” larger than pipe = 7” but supplied kit thimble is 5”. Is this an issue? Modine has not been helpful.
  2. I plan 3" galvanized stove pipe for intake, no thimble. Considering intake is in negative pressure this should be fine, correct? Seems trivial to me but the manual is less than helpful here.

    You want to run what was stated in instructions , 7" use "B" vent … Are you going through the wall ? North-West wall ? Use a Tee termination ….

    wall is north facing. How does that impact tee usage? Unfamiliar on that one.

    Instructions require cat 3, b vent does not satisfy that requirement

    The North wind will be blowing against the fan of the exhaust Creating positive pressure . Not good …. With a tee, if the wind flows up the run of the tee it would create a negative pressure ,on the point of termination through a Venturi …

    any input on question 2? It meant to say 3” ducting. Not stove pipe.
