Hey guys, we haven't posted one of our installations in a while. Removed a 400k btuh Peerless boiler. Installed a EG-65. 4in drop header and vaporstat. Home has 608 Sq Ft of EDR. Ran new wet return and split 2 dry returns that were connected above the water line and installed 2 Big mouths. We used some stainless nipples and bushings at boiler return connection. Installed a 1 in loop seal for pressure controllers.

    King valves even! Nice!

Trying to squeeze the best out of a Weil-McLain JB-5 running a 1912 1 pipe system.

… and a fitting to flush the returns. This is one beautiful piece of work.

I don't know how you find customers who understand and are willing to buy this level of quality.

Very nice. I am not fond of horizontal piping on The equalizer. But if it's all pitched, then all is good

Thank you guys. @STEAM DOCTOR yes, I'm not fond of the horizontal equalizer either. One of the younger guys connected it. It is pitched.

Not to nit pick but that equalizer should have been straight down. i would be surprised if that doesn't give you water hammer. i think with a little more foresight you could have eliminated the horizontal runs and gotten away with 45's out of the header. All that horizontal piping on the riser out of the header is going to cause all the steam that condenses in that piping to have fall back on to the header.
