Is noise a leak or contraction of metal

Weil McLain Lbg 6/23 11 years old . Ran steam for 12 minutes to 1 lb, shut it off and heard noise that is like water dripping on hot metal, or it’s a contraction of metal . I don’t remember hearing it before .

Where do you here the noise? Inside the boiler? Look around with a flashlight.
Posible but not likely that it is just condensation.
