    I couldn't think of its proper term, 1 way valve perhaps.

    In other words this prevents my system from pushing against the county water supply or something like that. This is one reason to have a thermal expansion tank.

    My daughters, now grown, certainly had large push back valves, lol.

    Ha, yeah certainly had that some years back with 2 daughters.

    I couldn't think of the proper term, 1 way valve maybe. Prevents my system from back pushing on the county system if that makes sense.

    Hi, Might it be " backflow preventer" ? 🤔 Pressure regulator and check valve are two other devices that do similar things. Anyway, as long as the tank is not seeing serious pressure fluctuations, it's good 👍

    Larry,

    Thats it, backflow preventer, got a check valve and a pressure regulator at the incoming point. So pressure is steady at 55 psi or so.
