Do I need new combustion analysis after Adding Beckett Sound Cover

Yes. Any time you change something on a burner you MUST re-test it. You never know what adding the cover will do.

There may be a slight combustion air restriction. You will want to know if there is an increase in the Smoke Spot # of the flue gas.

You definitely want to have it re-tuned with a combustion analyzer. I know from experience that those burner covers definitely make a difference to how much air the goes to the burner. I would consider adding an Air Boot to the cover as well, then the burner will draw combustion supply air from the outdoors. This will help increase system efficiency and reduce drafts inside the home.2

We have a cover on our new Riello. It has a thin layer of insulation covering some of the inside. Can't believe how much it reduces noise but it works well.
We just added a outside fresh air intake; that dropped noise a lot too. Highly recommended. There will be local codes around how that is installed.0 -
One other question….when going to install the plastic cover, I can put the thermostat wire in the J channel on the metal plate of the sound guard. However, the armored cable for power to the oil burner comes in on the left from above. Can I just make a small hole in the back edge of the top of the plastic cover and slide in the BX cable?

They sell longer wires at the supply house.
Or just drill the hole.
This is not Rocket Surgery.
