in-direct boiler use

in THE MAIN WALL
We would like to install a wall hung boiler in a house that has a hydronic heating system. The system is a old steam system converted to hydronic and there is a concern as to whether or not a wall hung boiler can handle this layout. The main supply line is 11/2" piping and return, so we were wondering if anyone would knew if the planned install can heat the volume of water in the system sufficiently.
The home is a colonial style 2 story house with stand alone cast iron radiators.

    A BTU is a BTU. Size the wall hung boiler to the BTU load and it will perform the same job that the existing hydronic boiler does- the boiler doesn't know or care what it's heating. It likely needs to be piped differently and definitely ought to have startup performed by a licensed professional, so this may or may not be as much of a DIY project as you think.
