Anyone know what type of boiler this is?

    More pictures, please, from further back and from the sides. Also look for a rating plate, probably on the front.

    That boiler was designed to burn coal.

    Thanks for your comments! This is my mother’s house in Tehran-built in early 2969s. The furnace is leaking CO !!!

    You need an oil burner tech that knows how to work on conversions. This isn't a DIY project, it isn't even a project for most oil burner techs, you need one that understands conversions.

    I was going to comment the boiler looks like it was not built in North America. Guess not being it is located in Tehran. Some things that we're not used to seeing here in USA:

    1. Smoke pipe that has welded seams and that many segments
    2. That unusual shape of the burner mounting plate
    3. That unusual flanged adaptor coming off the top of the boiler
    4. The storage tank supports look like a work of art

    I'm guessing not too many boilers in this area. My assumption is that the boiler was imported from Europe?

    Out of curiosity, I looked up the weather in Tehran. Unless I'm mistaken, it appears it almost never goes below 26 degrees Fahrenheit. That must be a pretty large castle to have a boiler that large for heating and or domestic hot water! On the other hand, maybe they size boilers in Tehran like some Americans size boilers here in the states (bigger is better).
