in THE MAIN WALL
I Found this hanging of the Basment ceiling in old school building while checking out the heating system to see how we can make it produce steam faster and more quiet

Wonder if this is just a old radiator or something else

    It's a pipe-coil radiator. What's on the other side of that wall?

    It was built in to the wall throughout the years I can't see the other side

    there is a line that's coming back to the wet return picture attached

    Looks like the wall was added later, I have never seen a pipe coil radiator that was not entirely in one room.

    What is the difference between pipe-coil radiator and the standard radiator. Just the material?

    A pipe coil radiator is literally built out of pieces of pipe. They were sometimes used in large areas like factories and gymnasiums in prewar construction.
