Spirovents and hydraulic seperator

Is there an advantage to using both spirovent and hydraulic seperator on same system? If so, which one would be piped in first? If not, do you just pipe in the feed with extrol tank prior to the seperator? This will be on a HTP versaflame boiler.

    Options
    Assuming primary/secondary piping, you'll need some method of hydraulic separation but you'll also need air removal. This can be accomplished with an air eliminator (like a Spirovent) and closely spaced tees, or with a good hydraulic separator which serves both functions. If you're using a hydrosep regardless, adding a Spirovent is nothing more than a leak point IMO.

    Options
    Consider a 4 or 5 in one product. Hydraulic, air, dirt, magnetic and sensor well/ gauge.

    The magnetic function is critical if you have or will have ECM style circulators.
