Looking for good Steam heating thermostats and vaporstats.

Options
I've used the Honeywell thermostats (usually the 8000series, but sometimes the 6000) for many years, but quality has gone down the toilet, along with the Vaporstats. I like to be able to program the CPH setting to 1, 2, or 3 for the system. Also, Vaporstats are now lasting maybe 2 heating seasons before they go bad.

Just seeing what the rest of you guys are using.

    Look on eBay for some 'New Old Stock' units. Sometimes some good deals versus the cost of new.

    Vaporstat;

    If you liked the 16 Oz Vaporstat to tame an oversized boiler I would try.

    Dwyer Series A3000 Photohelic® Pressure Switch/Gage

    "Two phototransistor actuated,
    DPDT relays are included for low/high limit control. Easy-to-adjust set point indicators
    are controlled by knobs located on the gage face (accessible opening case after
    de-energizing instrument). Set points can be interlocked to provide variable dead
    band which is ideal for control of fans, dampers, etc. "

    With the HH relay unit I believe you just install a jumper wire for the deadband operation (electrical emulation of a vaporstat switch).

    Sadly, for a customer I guess you just replace with the same type device, I'm not a lawyer.
