Hot Dawg Heater

I have a hot dawg heater that runs for a bit than shuts off. Thermostat is set to 75 and isn't moving from 60. I have to take the Thermostat down past 60 than back up to 75 for it to kick back on each time. Flame lights, fan kicks on everything seems like it's working just keeps shutting off and not bring the Thermostat up. Does the Thermostat need to be replaced? I've cleaned out the unit free of dust.

    I would verify that the flue is unobstructed. It may be the high limit switch is tripping after it runs for a few minutes due to a bird’s nest or something in the flue pipe. It could be the thermostat. An easy way to check it to turn the power to the heater off, remove the thermostat and connect the two wires together, then turn the heater back on. If it runs without shutting off, then you know the thermostat was dropping the call for heat.
